Slice of Life #46: I LOVE.... and here's why.

Did ya'll see Netty's post last week?

Wasn't that collage awesome??!!

I seem to be apologizing a lot lately for being late.

This is supposed to be a Sunday meme,

but I've had a few hiccups along the way.

The important part is not to quit, right?

My son with his favorite wolf.

This week, let's talk about an object that you love. My son is holding a stuffed animal that he sleeps with every night. He loves his wolf. For you, it could be remembering the love of a toy, or something more recent, like loving the china your grandmother passed down to you. Some other thoughts I had:

  • A piece of jewelry
  • A mug
  • A rock (hey - that would work for my husband!)
  • A piece of art
  • A house
  • A car (I have a friend who named his truck "Betty")

Once you identify your object, write about what it is that connects you to that thing. For instance, in my husband's case he could tell you where he was when he picked up the rock, what he was feeling, what kind of rock it is and the potential of it if polished, etc. You can do the same for your object. A piece of jewelry could bring up memories of it being gifted, a piece of art bring up the thrill of bidding for it at auction, a house filling you with warmth and goodness, and on and on we could go. You get the idea - let's get writing.

As to myself, I'm two weeks behind. I'm dedicated to getting it all done this week (it's Spring Break and we've got no place to go) - so if you're interested keep watch over the old links and I'll post as soon as I get it done.
