Slice of Life #27: Giving Thanks

I want to thank you all for sharing last week!

Got all teary-eyed. Good stuff!!

Now, I know it's only Thanksgiving here in the States - Canada has already had their Thanksgiving. Please indulge me. I tried to come up with something else, but I have always loved Snoopy, and I just adore the way he and Woodstock are about to give each other a big ol' hug there. Too too cute! Wherever you are in the world, I send happy hugs to you all!

Since last week we talked about the times other people showed us gratitude for a thing or two we did for them, this week of course is about expressing gratitude for something someone has done for us. It can be a story from the past or the present.

Afraid this will get too personal? Pick those random acts of kindness people have shown you! How about the story of the guy that helped push you out of the snow? Or the woman that let you go ahead of her in the grocery line when your baby hit his head on the cart and started to wail? Has anyone ever showed up with food or money when you wondered where the next meal would come from? My family once received total dental care from an anonymous benefactor - to this day we still don't know who it was! It disturbs me when so much goodness is going on in our lives - and all we see are the negative things.

For family history, I imagine all families have a story or two (or a thousand) of being thankful for one thing or another. Just pick one, and make sure you share it with someone else in the family that is sure to be grateful for your diligence in recording family stories! :)

Til next time! (And I apologize for writing this so late in the day - I've been out of town this week and it kinda threw me off.)
