Thank you for your entries last week!
I don't know about you, but when I step into the supermarket lately, I'm overrun with the amounts of berries for sale. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, marionberries, boysenberries... and down South, my mother's been picking dew berries on the side of the road. So I thought, why not? We've all been touched by the berry! Thus we have this week's prompt - berries!!!Some thoughts to get your memory cages rattling:
Maybe you have a funny story about a child stealing strawberries from the neighbor's strawberry patch (I wouldn't know anything about that). Have a harrowing story about someone being allergic to them? Did you grow up next to a strawberry field? Ever go huckleberry hunting in the mountains, or visit a pick your own farm?
Some non food thoughts are: Writing about the Strawberry Shortcake nut in your house. Even if your story is about an Easter dress you made with little strawberries on it - anything goes, as long as it's about some form of berry!
For family history, maybe you've got a migrant strawberry picker in your family tree. Or how about sharing with us Great Grandma's famous berry cobbler recipe? Perhaps it was a slice of blueberry pie that won Great Grandpa's heart. I'd love to read about someone's Victorian hat that had berries on it. You know someone out there has a story about that! ;)
Can't wait to read these tasty stories! And don't forget to come back and link with Mr. Linky!
Thanks for this prompt. I had fun writing it :)
