Slice of Life #51: How does YOUR garden grow?

1978 - Foss Lake, Oklahoma
Tending my Grandma's garden.
Loved the green onions. :)

This week, let's talk gardens. Vegetable gardens. Flower gardens. Weed gardens.

Wait - there's no such thing as a weed garden? Really? 'Cause we've mastered that in the patch of ground next to us for the past three years! :D

Joking aside, this isn't as hard as it sounds. You could write about planting a garden with your family growing up, or the hardships of growing one as an adult. Maybe you've never kept anything alive that you've planted! A trip to enjoy a community flower garden, like the Azelea Trail in Houston, Texas would be a great entry in your personal history. Did anyone in your family mistake a hose for a snake? How about watching the hail beat your tomato plants to the ground?

Yes, I'm even thinking of Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant in Music & Lyrics when she keeps drowning all his plants. If that's the only exposure you've ever had with gardening, write it.

See ya next week!
